Current Employment

To successfully complete this program, you are required to complete mandatory lab hours which will be completed in person at a licensed child care facility. You must complete 3 hours or more each day you are on site to successfully meet the program requirements.

BIPOC Pre-Apprenticeship participants are strongly encouraged to attend Peer Learning Communities (PLCs) and case management check-ins on a monthly/quarterly basis. The PLCs and check-ins provide students with the opportunity to access additional resources to support their success in the cohort program and their career in early education.

BIPOC Pre-Apprenticeship students typically take two 3-unit college classes via live Zoom/Hybrid/In-person per semester. Each 3-unit class requires on average 6-9 hours a week for class time, reading, assignments and study time. (Some classes require participants complete lab hours in an ECE setting)
