Current Employment

To successfully complete this program, you are required to complete mandatory lab hours which will be completed in person at a licensed child care facility. You must complete 3 hours or more each day you are on site to successfully meet the program requirements.

Black ECE participants are strongly encouraged to attend Peer Learning Communities (PLCs) and case management check-ins on a monthly/quarterly basis. The PLCs and check-ins provide students with the opportunity to access additional resources to support their success in the cohort program and their career in early education.

Black ECE cohort students typically take two 3-unit college classes via live Zoom/Hybrid/In-person per semester. Each 3-unit class requires on average 6-9 hours a week for class time, reading, assignments and study time. (Some classes require participants complete lab hours in an ECE setting)
